UPCOMING CHANGES TO THE FAFSA! The FAFSA Simplification Act requires changes to the FAFSA for students attending college in fall 2024 and beyond. The ORSAA will also change. For news about the changes and new resources, check out and watch the Oregon Goes to College FAFSA/ORSAA page HERE and HERE.
First Step: FSA ID Students, parents, and borrowers are required to use a FSA ID, made up of a username and password, to access certain U.S. Department of Education websites. Your FSA ID is used to confirm your identity when accessing your financial aid information and electronically signing your FAFSA documents.
Second Step: GATHER YOUR DOCUMENTS Student/guardian(s) social security number Student/guardian(s) driver’s license Student/guardian(s) 2022 W-2 forms and other records of money earned Student/guardian(s) 2022 Federal Income Tax Return Student/guardian(s) 2022 taxed income records- worker’s compensation, child support, veteran’s benefits Student/guardian(s) current bank statements Student/guardian(s) current business and investment info, business and farm records, stocks, bonds, and other investment records List of the school(s) you are interested in attending.
